Liqeni i Batllavës ndodhet në territorin e Komunës së Podujevës, fare pranë fshatit Orllan. Liqeni edhe pse artificial, është padyshim një nga atraksionet turistike më të frekuentuara në Kosovë e më të bukura në Kosovë, ka sipërfaqe 3,29 km dhe sot shfrytëzohet për pushime verore, freskim, peshkim, relaksim në restorante të ndryshme etj.
Liqeni artificial i Batllavës është ndërtuar në vitet e 70- me qëllim furnizimi me ujë të pijshëm për Prishtinën dhe Podujevën dhe është ujësjellësi kryesor i Kosovës.
Thellësia e tij maksimale është 48 metra. Në këtë liqen ndodhet një central për nxjerrjen e ujit. Ai ka tri nivele (në fund, në mes dhe afër sipërfaqes së ujit). Uji më i mirë është nga mesi I liqenit nga ku edhe nxirret e pastaj shkon në fabriken që ka ndërtuar stabilimentin e saj në main më të afërt. Liqeni aktualisht është nën administrimin e forcave të KFOR-it. Aty uji futet për pastrim, klorifikim dhe pastaj shpërndahet nëpër dy linja tubacionesh njëri drejt Prishtinës e tjetri drejt Podujevës.
Panorama e Liqenit të Batllavës është ndër më mbresëlënëset në të gjithë zonën e Prishtinës dhe Podujevës dhe liqeni përdoret për sporte e veprimtari rekreative, jo vetëm nga banorët e zonës por edhe nga vizitorë që vijnë nga qytete të tjera.
Kohët e fundit Batllava është kthyer në destinacion edhe nga turistët shqiptarë, ku çdo fundjavë, grupe të ndryshme të rinjsh e familjarës, vijnë përmes tureve të organizuara.
Batllava Lake: A fresh treasure in the heart of Podujeva
Lake Batllava is located in the territory of the Municipality of Podujeva, right next to the village of Orllan. The lake, although artificial, is undoubtedly one of the most frequented tourist attractions in Kosovo and the most beautiful in Kosovo, it has an area of 3.29 km² and today it is used for summer vacations, refreshment, fishing, relaxation in various restaurants, etc.
The artificial lake of Batllava was built in the 70s with the purpose of supplying drinking water to Pristina and Podujeva and is the main aqueduct of Kosovo.
Its maximum depth is 48 meters. There is a water extraction plant in this lake. It has three levels (at the bottom, in the middle and near the surface of the water). The best water is from the middle of the lake from where it is extracted and then goes to the factory that has built its establishment in the nearest main. The lake is currently under the administration of KFOR forces. There, the water is introduced for cleaning, chlorination and then distributed through two pipelines, one towards Pristina and the other towards Podujeva.
The panorama of Lake Batllava is one of the most impressive in the entire area of Pristina and Podujeva, and the lake is used for sports and recreational activities, not only by the residents of the area but also by visitors from other cities.
Recently, Batllava has also become a destination for Albanian tourists, where every weekend, different groups of young people and families come through organized tours.
